News just filtering in from Japan about a 15-year old boy being arrested in December for driving and doing stunts like a video game with a real car!
The boy was arrested after feeling the scene after apparently injuring 6 people in a car-driving frenzy. Upon his arrest he told the police that he wanted to use the techniques he learnt from a video game.
The name of the boy has been withheld because he is a minor. He was quoted by the Matsuyama Higashi Police as saying that he wanted the thrill of driving a real car.
His thrill had a three-hour joyride involving reckless stunts at speeds over 100 kph on a 5-meter-wide street where he abruptly accelerated and decelerated.
Now that's what I call a frog-leap evolution by a gaming nerd.
