Ready for a second lease on life? A Mario 1up mushroom is sure to grant that. Pity it isn’t for real though. But you see it is! Available on thinkgeek is a desk thingamajig that replicates this videogame popularity. The 1up Mushroom is a little vinyl collectable that’s terribly cute. The apparatus consists of a pipe-shaped pot and a mushroom. One needs to just add some soil into the pipe and watch the mushroom spurt out. While soil is not mandatory (or necessary), it completes the illusion. Pot and mushroom stand at a height of about 6 inches and are officially licensed by Nintendo (for those who do care). Gamers hung up on Mario, and who isn’t, will find this is a must-have. And at a price of $5.99 how could it not be.
