Few days ago, Wii.com stirs up an issue regarding Super Mario Galaxy that was supporting 2-palyer mode of the game. The time when the site predicted the multiplayer mode to the game, was not confirmed by the Nintendo officials, but now the new has official authenticity as Nintendo's analysis and development's GM, Takashi Tezuka, in an interview with IGN stated that the game will be supporting co-operative gameplay up to two players.

The official also confirmed that the game developers are finding new ways to make the use of Wii-mote so that one player can control Mario while the other gives him a strong back up. Furthermore, the game designer Shigeru Miyamoto also suggested that the second player could have the ability to interfere with Mario's progress.
The game is of course a Wii exclusive title that is waiting for its final launch date. The game expectedly will ship t the retailer stores around Christmas to give the Wii a big push against the likes of Halo 3 and Grand Theft Auto 4.
