Microsoft has decided to give a rough shod to the evil entrenching inside its next-gen console Xbox360 that was released a year back in Nov. 2005. Previously Microsoft had made some coalition with the chip manufacturer Chartered Semiconductor to make quieter CPUs. But due to some reasons the manufacturer has postponed the mass production of quieter CPUs to the next year.

The whole story revolves around the nano-technology embedded inside the Xbox360's PCU. The new high-tech CPU that will eradicate al the limitations aside is 65nm chip that is currently 90nm. The drawbacks that the new nano-technology will eradicate are:

I. Excessive heat evolution and will help in keeping the CPU cool during whole operational time.

II. Cut the cost of the processor and hence will slash down the manufacturing expenditures and resulting in manufacturing of a cheaper console.

III. Lessen the droning sound during operation mode.

IV. Moreover with the help of slimmer chip it will help in shrinking the size of gaming console resulting in the portability of console.

The mass-production of the microprocessors has been postponed to the Q1 of 2007.
