Microsoft feels proud to announce last Thursday that it has sold out 6 million Xbox consoles since the launch date of the console last year. It has reached such a huge figure in span of one year. However Microsoft is still showing a consistent loss but Xbox transaction has reduced the loss amount to $96 million from last year's $173 million.

Losses in the Xbox division were also lowered to from a year ago. Till July month it had sold out 5 million consoles. MS has set a target of 10 million by the end of this year that would be quite tuff job for MS since other next-gen consoles i.e. Wii and PS3 are also ready for debut next month.

The figures would be quite soothing for MS as even after such a big gain it is still standing too near to the ground amid console manufacturers. However the two deciding months are still to come and let's see what comes up at the surface with the end of this crucial year?
