If there is one thing that is unique to this time of the year, it is the number of releases of new titles that we see. In fact, the largest markets for gaming industry traditionally have been the U.S, Europe and Japan. It doesn’t look like that is going to change very soon. There is going to be the worldwide release of Lego Batman. The U.S is going to see some major releases like Time Hollow, SimCity Creator, Disgaea DS and other games by Nintendo DS. Sony will see the new SingStar title among others. Wii is not lagging behind and is going to see a huge release surge, which includes de Blob, Samba de Amigo and many others. Europe shares most releases in the U.S and we can also see the Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway being released on both PS3 and Xbox 360. Japan is always way ahead of North America and Europe when it comes to new games and will see releases such as a localized version of EA’s Madden NFL 09 and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09. There also is many other Wii and PS2 releases in Japan. Looks like a busy week for gamers out there looking for new games to buy.
