A little bit of Batman for the PS3

Batman fans just can't seem to get enough of their Dark knight and in it's latest form, Batman is all set to enter the PS3's slow albeit steadily expanding range of game titles. Warner Bros have just announced the Lego Batman game title for the PS3 at the recently concluded GDC 2008. Based on the cult movie, Batman, the Lego Batman gaming title from the Warner Bros stables is all set to enthrall gamers with it’s seat of the pants action. Being positioned in the very popular and high selling Action adventure genre, Lego Batman is well placed to find instant acceptability among action gamers based on the stupendous success it’s publisher, Traveller’s Tales have had with their previous offering, The Lego Star Wars.

Now, jumping straight into the game itself, we find that Traveller’s Tales, have created an all new storyline for the game with more than 20 playable characters from the batman universe making it into the game. If that isn’t exciting enough, the characters will have their individual unique powers and abilities.

Another very innovative part of the game is the Villain mode where you get to play opposite the Dark knight as opposed of the conventional mode of being a part of the Dark knight’s team. Going against the grain cannot get better than this. Also featured are trick moves in addition to the standard attacks to make it one hell of a gaming experience. Coming to aesthetics, the graphics have been improved to make good use of the PS3’s phenomenal processing power. Ofcourse, Lego fans can’t be left behind. They are plenty of instances in the game where the titular toy blocks will have to be used to get the game going like batman building a ladder for robin to climb,etc. Batman fans and console gamers have a lot to look forward ,come fall 2008 when Lego Batman will hit a Lego store near you.
