Come winter, Agatha Christie’s fans in the gaming community can experience the thrills and chills of the great author’s ‘And Then There Were None‘ on the Nintendo Wii. The game, whose PC version was released in October 2005, is based on this 1939-written detective novel of hers. The Adventure Company, the same company that launched the game’s PC version, will release the game in November 2007.
In this game, players can utilize the Wii’s ‘Wiimote’ controller to their advantage. The controller’s flexibility will allow players to easily carry out a range of action like digging for clues, opening safes, face challenges like climbing stairs within an allotted time after jumping of a boat and what not. Very interesting indeed!
Richard Wah Kan, President and CEO of The Adventure Company had this to say:
We are very excited to take this new direction with our adventure titles and are certain that our fans will find Agatha Christie: And Then There Were None to be a perfect fit for the Nintendo Wii. Many PC adventure game fans are having a great time with the Wii and we’d like to be the first to deliver them games they love on a console they’ve embraced.
If Agatha Christie were alive today, she would have been mighty pleased to play this game. The mystery involving 10 individuals also goes by the names ‘Ten Little Niggers’ and ‘Ten Little Indians’. The 10 of them, all unknown to each other, are invited separately to this very secluded island by an unknown host. Here, a recorded voice tells them that each of them are guilty of murder (how eerie!). And to add to the mystery, each of the 10 dies under mysterious circumstances. Who then is the killer? SUSPENSE!!!!
Read the book before you play!!!!
