'Arden: The World of Shakespeare': Poetic 3D play

Edward Castronova, an associate professor of telecommunications at Indiana University is trying to put his efforts to develop a virtual world of Shakespeare with 3D effects. Edward is the same guy who wrote 'Synthetic Worlds: The Business and Culture of Online Games'and also performed in Richard III. The MacArthur Foundation is also extending its helping hand to the Edward's new creation and approved $240,000 fund for the endeavor.

The academic project is a historical Shakespeare play that is dubbed as Arden: The World of Shakespeare a massively multiplayer online game (MMO) and will provide an opportunity to the players to be familiar with valuable facts about Shakespeare. Edward explains his conception as the opportunity to use an MMO as a serious social-science research tool. He says that all the MMO are principally designed for profit making but we want to do something different that educates the people besides entertaining.

The game is under construction hands and recently there is no info. on availability and pricing of the game.
