Comic books to game ports have generally disappointed. Eidos’ Batman: Arkham Asylum is out to prove a point and it might just do that. Whatever fate awaits this action game, its Collector’s Edition is bound to do good with all the goodies that it is promising. Confirmed, detailed and priced, the Collector’s Edition of Batman: Arkham Asylum is packed with the Dark Night. Priced at 100 bucks, game’s collector’s edition will tout a model weapon, a journal, a DVD and a code to unlock DLC. To explain, Batman: Arkham’s Asylum’s premium edition will feature a 14” Batarang (modeled after the weapon from the game; “Arkham Doctor’s Journal” – a 48-page, leather-bound journal replete with details of Asylum’s criminal inmates; a game disc; a behind the scenes DVD; and a code that downloads exclusive “Crime Alley” challenge map. All this bounty will be easily stored in a Batarang-shaped case that’s shipped along. The moot point at the end of that all is the price (what else?). You ready to shell $100 in these times? Make your mind up quickly, cause this thing will sell like hotcakes!
