Joystiq reports that an article in BBC temporarily reported that the PC version of Halo 2 is to debut on Windows Vista slated to be released this December. However, the article, according to Joystiq vanished as fast as it appeared. The link to that story now shows something else that leads to 'Gaming News In Brief' and no mention of Halo 2.

I dunno whether this is true or some doctoring took place. I am writing to BBC asking them to confirm. If they reply, I will put an update here.
Anyway, with Halo 2 being developed PC, there is no way that it would be developed for any other OS than the upcoming Vista. The coincidences are too much.
So BBC might have jumped the gun and since it did, the news most probably got shot down by MS itself.
