Last month, there was a rumor over Orange Lounge Radio confirming new Katamari game for three different platforms, Xbox360, PS3 and Wii. The new sequel to the Katamari series was to hit the PS3 and Xbox360 on October 17th for $39.99 while the Wii version, a bit late on November 14th for a suggestive price of $29.99.

Now once again, Beautiful Katamari is in news for its confirmation issue but this time it is official. IGN has found some interesting tidbits over Japanese magazine Famitsu that contains an article focused on an interview with game-director Jun Morikawi.
Granting an official confirmation to the title, Jun Morikawi states that Beautiful Katamari will be bigger and better than ever before, featuring bigger maps and lots more junk to collect. Simultaneously, he hinted that the game will be released for other platforms as well.

The game must be featuring some online play, as well. Namco Bandai has also expressed his intentions to bring it to the Nintendo's Wii claiming that the game is almost half finished.
How would it appear on different platforms, especially on Wii? The game must be moving in the direction of being a full-sized game with the help of save-the-animals storyline from Me & My Katamari for the PSP. What do you think?
