Benjamin Heckendorn unveils the new Atari 2600

For the video game buffs here's some awesome news! The Atari 2600 portables are still being made, at least according to Benjamin Heckendorn. However, Ben has made some alterations to the old school Atari.

The 'New Technology' Atari will have paddle controllers that controls the game better. The prototype is code named 'phoenix'. It uses standard Atari game cartridges, 3.5" screen, and takes about six double a batteries. All of this mostly meant for the rear unit.

Ben of Atari, claims that he gets plenty of emails regarding upgrading the Atari system into something new and cool.So, here it is folks. The new Atari 2600 portable with paddle controllers! As for the good old Rev 5.1's, they are still made to order.

I think this sounds like the coolest game controller in the market. By the way, while messing around with the Asteroids game last night, I managed to rack up a good score.
