Microsoft's Bill Gates seems becoming contradictory to himself as few days ago at CES in Las Vegas, he claimed Nintendo's Wii console the mightiest rival amongst all. He was addressing the attendees at CES where he boasted that Microsoft's next-gen console Xbox360 has reached 10.4M sales target and still leading the way in gaming arena.

But now speaking with journalist Dean Takahashi, he uttered that the Wii is the console no longer in race, since it has no HD graphics advantage. Continuing further, he added that Microsoft considers PS3 as the potent rival of Xbox360 as it carries Blu-ray technology with it. But even after having HD support PS3 would not be able to extract the lead out of it because including HD graphics Xbox360 has many other advantages like low price and HD download services support and capability to bring a decline in price thing at faster rate as compared to PS3, since cuddles a pricey technology.
However, both the utterances of Bill Gates appear quite volatile because PS3 is supporting Blu-ray that is no doubt a futuristic technology and the will rule the market as a versatile device to play Blu-ray as well. And if we take the quote regarding Wii extermination, then it too is a good enough to administer a stiff competition to the one year old gaming console.
