2K Games’ much-awaited FPS BioShock is about to greet you with its epic game content as it’s going to make its debut on the Xbox360 and PC platform across North America tomorrow i.e. August 21st, 2007.
BioShock is an FPS genre with a survival horror and RPG element that dishes up a gaming experience like never before. Nearly everything in the game can be turned into a weapon, e.g. players can physically modify their bodies with plasmids, hack devices & systems, upgrade weapons, and experiment with different battle techniques.
The Darkness, Mass Effect and Halo 3 are few other FPS titles that will be in close competition with BioShock. However, out of all three mentioned above, The Darkness is yet available in the market, while other two will make their debut later this year on the Xbox360.

Few key features of the game are:
• Take control of your world by hacking mechanical devices, commandeering security turrets and creating unique items critical to your very survival.
• Upgrade your weapons with ionic gels, explosives and toxins to customize them to the enemy and environment.
• Genetically modify your body through dozens of Plasmid Stations scattered throughout the city, empowering you with fantastic and often grotesque abilities.
• Explore a living world powered by Ecological A.I., where the inhabitants have interesting and consequential relationships with one another that influence your gameplay experience.
• Experience truly next generation graphics that vividly illustrate the forlorn art deco city, highlighted by the most detailed and realistic water effects ever developed in a video game.
BioShock is slated for August 24th launch in Europe, however release date for Japan is yet to be decided.
Other releases for this week are:
• Two Worlds Collector’s Edition (PC, Xbox360) - Aug 21st
• Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 (PS3, PSP) - Aug 21st
