
Game developers Bioware and LucasArts have entered into an agreement to create a new title which will push the boundaries of the gaming market. Both the companies will develop and market the product by utilizing the strengths of both companies to deliver an innovative, high-quality experience.
Both the teams have already worked together on the two Knights of the Old Republic titles which combined the Star Wars universe with Bioware’s deep RPG gameplay. The Knights of the Old Republic series went on to sell million of copies and garned mass critical acclaim, averaging a 94% on Gamerankings.com.
Greg Zeschuk, president of BioWare Corp stated that the collaboration with LucasArts will allow company to combine company’s passion for creating high quality and innovative experiences in bringing only the finest games to market.
Although the companies have not disclosed any specifics about the new venture as many fans are speculating that they are working on a Star Wars MMO. Recently, Bioware was acquired by gaming giant EA for a lofty $860 million USD.
