The expansion for Black and White 2 has been announced and it will be known as Battle of the Gods. The expansion offers the player a range of new challenged in a 'much darker and sinister' game world.

This expansion will take you back to Eden where strange things have started to happen. The Aztecs bitter by their defeat are plotting revenge and by sacrificing a large number of humans, they have managed to appease their evil god. This is the new challenge the player must face. He has to return to Eden and fight this evil.
It will be up to you on how to fight this evil deity, however, if you lose the world goes to it!
Sounds pretty interesting indeed. What remains to be seen is whether it will be popular as the original Black and White.
