Why the bias? All gamers asked when PlayStation Store made the classic PS1 games available for downloads on PSP. Finally, Sony has corrected itself (better late than never) and made the classic titles available for downloads on the bigger and better PS3, as well.

Now thanks to a PS3 firmware 1.70 patch, you can enjoy those golden PS1 titles on your PS3. If you have bought a title already for your PlayStation Portable, there is no need to buy it again for your PS3. Just download a new license free and play it on PS3, as well. Not only that, but even the saved games are transferable across the two consoles so that you can continue from where you left off.

The 10 classic titles currently available for downloads are:
2Xtreme
Crash Bandicoot
Destruction Derby
Jet Moto
Jumping Flash
MediEvil
Rally Cross
Siphon Filter
Tekken 2 (personal favorite)
WipeOut
What's the big deal, you might ask. Well, to be able to play the golden titles on the bigger and better screen of a PS3 is a treat in itself. But adding to your fun is the restored multiplayer functionality in some of these games, which was not compatible with the wireless features of the PSP. The new firmware update also enables force feedback functions with "select USB accessories" for the PS2.
The Price? Well, $5.99 isn't too much to ask for a license to download and play these games on both - the PS3 and the PSP.
So what'cha waiting for? Download and Enjoy!
