The team behind Starcraft II and the great MMORPG ‘WOW,’ has announced that they are working on a new project that is currently under development. Gamasutra managed an interview with ‘Frank Pearce’ - founding member and Senior VP (product development) of Blizzard, where he revealed that they have a third team working on an entirely different game.
When he was asked about the workforce, the VP said that they have a manpower of around 2700 employees, out of which only 350 people are in development team. 135 people are associated with WOW, around 40 on Starcraft II, around 85 on cinematics and rest on a new project.
Here is what Pearce has to say about new development:
Team 3 is working on something really awesome. I can’t give you any hints, but it’s totally awesome.
However, ‘StarCraft: Ghost’ is one of Blizzard’s unreleased title, whose release date is yet to be decided, but this cannot be taken as an imminent third title, because it’s just a sequel in the Starcraft series and coming ‘new game’ has nothing to do with it.
So guys keep guessing, until we don’t find some more detail.
