Bungie, the makers of Halo said recently that they were ready to take action against the unfortunate service incident that one of its fans had to go through. Nathaniel, an avid Xbox gamer had his Xbox 360 sent in for service after encountering a disastrous problem. Now what was so special about Nathaniel’s Xbox 360? Well his memories with the console would make anyone who listens, cry. After purchasing the Xbox 360 at its launch, Nathaniel showed it off to everyone and almost anyone, joyously collecting signatures and sketches from the likes of Bungie staff, Xbox 360 team members, and Luke McKay of Rooster Teeth Comics. Soon his machine looked like a traveler’s well-worn suitcase decorated with the stickers of the places he had been to. Sadly, one day his console fell victim to a problem that typically affect Xbox 360s. He sent it in for service but however at the same time was worrying about the memories on his console. He spoke with a support specialist on the phone and even included a letter in the box, prominently displayed, begging the safe return of his machine of memories.
The support specialist also ensured him of keeping his memories safe and told that he would take care of it. However, when Nathaniel got back his machine, it was all better and the problem was fixed but the ‘real’ problem arose when he found that his machine was now wiped off of all his memories. Only a few black smudges left from the ink that adorned the console now remained. Nathaniel even checked the serial to see if his machine has been replaced with another one but he found the same serial and confirmed that it was his console.
Reacting to this, Bungie stepped into the scene to help fix this unfortunate situation. The company assured that it would solve Nathaniel’s problem by giving him a replacement that while may not be exactly as his old one but will try its best to make it come as close to it as possible.
