Destination Software have developed Chess Crusade - virtual boardgame with highly fantasized and weirdest fairy-tale like characters that would be ‘puppetized’ by Nintendo’s Wii and DS consoles. Chess Crusade will be launched in the US next month on July 22. Nintendo Wii and DS versions will cost $19.99 and $14.99 respectively. The game has been named ‘Chess Crusade’ but characters seem to be nowhere like historic Crusaders. Nope! I am not asking for any Wii ‘Emperor’s Age’ but characters are rather wacky and shapeless - especially the box-faced knight! Let’s wait to see if this virtual Chess Crusade indeed tempts the intellectuals.
