Cloud: Finally a lethargic game that you can sleep over

I dunno whether this can really be called a 'game' in its truest sense. I would rather like to call it a senseless monotonous activity that you can indulge yourself if boredom appeals to you in the form of relaxation.

Cloud is a game without any objective or mission. In it you play a young boy who flies through the air above a small group of islands. A soft piano music plays in the background and the water-colour graphics are brilliant too.

However, there is nothing much that you can do with it. The boy just flies one cloud to another and there's nothing much happening either. Notwithstanding this, there had been several thousand downloads of the game.

On seeing the unexpected craze for the game, I too decided to download it. So don't go by the number of downloads. If you happened to play it in a friend's computer, chances are you wouldn't want to play it again unless you want to do something to fall asleep.

It reminds me of a TV programme in Germany where they showed nothing but logs burning logs 24 X 7 for several days (or weeks maybe) and it was a huge hit; so much so, that when the programme was called off there had been a lot of protest from the loyal viewers.

But tell you folks; given that a gamer in South Korea died playing battle simulation games, Clouds might just find many admirers. No! there are many backers of this game already, trust me.

The manufacturers of this outstanding out of the world game are Electronic Arts Game Innovation Lab at the University of Southern California.

I have got nothing more to write on about this. *Yawn*
