A recent report speaks of the debate between the Ashbringer's fans about the release of Ashbringer's soul in opposition to the facts pointing towards living Ashbringer, who is actually recovering from his wounds. The latter is testified by a list of dialogues spoken by the Corrupted Ashbringer's sword, which the former denies as the quotes spoken by the ghost of Ashbringer.

However the sword of Ashbringer itself is a great mystery, but the quests to obtain the sword might give some clue to the seeker. Until then the NPC quotes can actually drag on with the non-existence of Ashbringer with their terrifying quotes:
