Dodge bullets with Max Payne 3 in winter ‘09

The Max Payne series has managed to stand out in the psyche of gamers like few other titles have. The previous two chapters of Max’s life have been intriguing and interesting, and have left us craving for more. Rockstar Vancouver has finally lifted veils off of Max Payne 3. The game is currently under development and will be released for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 this winter, the company has announced. So you better gear up to step into the shoes of cynical old (older by a “few years" actually) Max to take on “a world of corruption, turmoil and intense violence.” Loyal fans would remember that Max had moved out of the NYPD and New York at the end of the last assignment, so this time around we’ll see him in a new city “full of violence and bloodshed.” Perhaps, this description will persuade more fans to go out and buy the title. Max Payne 2 did rather poorly on that front, if you recall. Max Payne 3 is “his last chance for salvation,” so it better be good. Meanwhile, here’s the official page.
