Doom has been one of the most influential and successful releases in the history of video games. All the versions of the game have met with similar mass hysteria. The makers of Doom did a clever thing by releasing its source code in 1997 under GNU public license. This allowed the porting of the game by its fans to numerous platforms including PSPs and the iPods! This was probably one of the greatest successes of “opening up” which surely gave sleepless nights to many conservative players! Now, the recent news is that the Doom Legacy has also been ported over to PSP. Though it lacks some of the original features like the in-game music, it still has multiplayer capability to keep the geeks hooked. In fact it can accommodate upto five WAD files, the original one and four custom ones!
You can also visit the Doom Legacy Wiki for further research. Those who are interested can download the archive from here. Although please keep in mind that there might be bugs being the very first one! Anyway, Doom is Doom and PSP is PSP, so just enjoy!

Haha very nice to hear this. Doom amazingly just doesn’t get old. No matter how many times you play the classic, it just never gets old.
