July 2nd 2008 marks the release date of the Sony DualShock 3, for European fans that is. This is certainly good news since many of the new PS3 games support the shake feature such as GTA4 and GT5 along with many others. Japan saw the release of the controller last year November, then North America in April of 2008. The European version is prices at EUR $50 (US $80). It is a bit more expensive than the US version though, which runs for US $60. However, I don’t think price is gonna stop the avid PS3 owner from acquiring one.
David Reeves, the President and CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe said:
We are delighted to confirm that DUALSHOCK 3 will be released in SCEE territories in early July. We hope this will add to the intense gaming experience for our fans, as we continue to evolve PS3, its software and its peripherals.
The DualShock 3 Wireless Controller is a controller for the PlayStation 3 that incorporates the features and wireless design of the Sixaxis wireless controller with rumble capabilities.
