Some more disappointing news for the Quake Wars fan cadre from Activision; as the publisher confirmed something about Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, in a conference call. Activision announces earlier that id Softwarea's science-fiction based FPS Quake Wars release date slips to some new undefined date. The title was previously slated for launch by the end of June.

The title release has been pushed back due to undefined reasons but what I know is, it will come out between July and September, this year. However, the delay doesna't seem pretty outrageous, because something like was expected, already, because the title has already been postponed, once.
Originally, the game was announced as a PC exclusive, but later, Nerve Software and Z-Axis teamed up to create a next-gen version of Quake Wars. The game will ship to the Xbox360 and PS3, as well.

Online retailers like GameStop.com now, list Quake Wars as shipping by the end of July. Also, Aspyr Media is working on the Apple Mac version of the game.
A new info that follows the Quake War delay is a new game engine will be powering ida's next-gen game. So called event that took place in London is said to be the source of info. However, no other info has yet surfaced but as per speculation (as the engine is meant for next-gen games) the engine would be potent, enough.

Hope, he game developer will soon reveal both the mysteries, soon.
