Microsoft calls it a new live anywhere initiative. At E3 it heralded next wave of "truly next generation" Xbox 360 games which includes Fable 2, Halo 3, Forza Motorsport 2, Alan Wake and Shadowrun - now exclusive to 360 and PC - and Grand Theft Auto IV. It's kind of a blend of old and new through which MS wants to position Xbox 360 stand out of its rivals.

Microsoft at the Electronic Entertainment Expo press conference has announced deals with companies like Midway, Konami, Sega and Namco. By doing so it hopes to breathe new life into classic titles like 'Dig Dug,' "Sonic the Hedgehog" and 'Root Beer Tapper.'

Microsoft also has unveiled plans for a wireless headset and a video game accessory for the Xbox 360.
