This year’s Comic-con fan-convention is in full swing and EA’s (Chicago) executive producer Kudo Tsunoda has brought his team’s new project to light. The exec says that they have a new Marvel project underway, which is completely different from its predecessors.

The new untitled Marvel fighting game is likely to come as a new franchise that will feature array of superheroes from the Marvel universe. However, exec didn’t talk much about untitled project, but clued that the whole team is poised to accomplish a new (fighting) genre that gives completely a different experience from Fight Night Round 3 and Def Jam: Icon.
As the game’s environment is a key component for battles, hence, the team is more inclined to inflict more realistic and interactive environments for long lasting appeal. When the game is launched, you’ll see the franchise adopts nothing from EA’s existing fight series like Def Jam: Icon and Fight Night Round 3.
EA promises every battle to be distinctively a new experience. Featuring a great all-star line-up of Marvel superheroes and super villains with incredible powers with epic graphic/audio quality using next-gen consoles’ potential, the game will emerge as unique, decent fighter genre, for sure.
The new Marvel game will be released on the Xbox360 and PS3 sometime in 2008.
