ESA President Doug Lowenstein in a speech targeted towards the PR sector of the gaming industry stated that there is nothing wrong with making controversial or creative content. As that is what pumps up the sales. On the other hand it also makes the gaming industry an easy target for the media. Because that is what helps the media sell.





But, the game developers & publishers should make it a point that the PR organizations on their respective boards should be more than well prepared for the negative publicity which gets attracted by the content. The PR should always stay geared up in accordance with the development team.
