Sony is trying to make a mutual balance between its PS3 backward compatibility and differently designed European PS3 that is going to make its debut on March 23rd, 2007.

Through PR, Sony has confirmed that the PS3 to be launched in Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Australasia on March 23rd would be employing a new hardware. Hardware specifications include the Cell Broadband Engine, a 60GB HD drive, a Blu-ray disc player, built-in WiFi, and a SIXAXIS wireless controller.
But on the other hand, Sony has nullified its entire offer as it has educated that the PS3 will support a broad range of original PS titles but a limited range of PS2 titles.
Sony had made the European PS3 launch a bit spicy but some flaws in its backward compatibility has made the launch schedule a bit ominous.
Anyway, Sony will be releasing regular downloads through the PlayStation Network to increase the number of compatible games with passage of time.
