Recently, 2K reported that Starbreeze Studios' The Darkness (PS3 version) which it had planned for June release, won't be coming out on the scheduled time. The game release has been delayed until July, in Europe. However, the Xbox360 version is still on target for this week, so those who cannot wait can purchase the Xbox360 edition.

However, 2K hasn't specified any date but the retailers are reporting that the game will arrive on July 20th.
Based on the popular comic book 'The Darkness', the new title dishes up a blend of both FPS as well as TPS content that provides you with terrible powers in the shape of a new twist.
The evil has developed inside Jackie Estacado, a mafia hitman for the Franchetti crime family, and he has started employing his acquired powers to create panic in natives. Jackie must learn to fully command the Darkness so he can take back control of the Franchetti family, which is ruled by his uncle Paulie, a despicable man who is almost universally despised.
With traditional multiplayer modes as well as all-new innovative modes, next-gen graphics and gameplay featuring advanced voice-synching, the game takes place within fully interactive environments laden with realistic animation.
The Xbox360 version of the game is due out on June 29th, as planned originally.
