How disgusting! That must be definitely arching for the Euro gamers as Sony's PS3 console will cost a bit higher to the European gamers. The suggestive cost set for PS3 in Europe by Sony is £425 i.e. $838 and the same console is selling for $600 in US while Sony Japan is selling for just $253 as 20% waver had been offered to the Japanese gamers even before its launch in Japan.

The price discrimination is emerging due to the high VAT in UK i.e. 17.5% that is offering the console retailers a chance to fetch some money.

If we talk the cost of PS3 in euro then suggested cost for 60GB PS3 set by Sony is just €599 in most other European territories but still it is selling for €629.99 in some regions of Europe. The whole stigma is coming froth due to the high VAT rate in EU.

Another accomplice found in the PS3 console pricing uncertainty is floating price value for different currencies across the globe since the stumbling value of US dollar is also airing the flame as US dollar has gone down to approximately 30% as compared to Euro in last few years.

The European PS3 launch has been slated on March 23rd, 2007 and unfortunately the cost crisis have been already raising their heads. Already, Sony has left the EU gamers with no option as only 60GB version of PS3 will be available in the UK making gamers more enraged.
