Peter Molyneux promised more than anyone could possibly imagine being in a single game. As release time came closer, those promises features slipped further and further down into almost nothing at all. The Lost Chapters fulfills few of those promises, but it fails to fix many game-breaking bugs from the original. One of the problems from the original was the saving feature, which did not save your progress in a quest. Besides bugs like that, everything else seems to have been improved. Well maybe not the combat system, which is kind of repetitive, but they could not have changed that without changing fundamental elements of the game.

If you have not played Fable and won't be disappointed by the relatively short time required to beat the game, then buy it. Otherwise, I can't really recommend it.
