Ubisoft has officially confirmed that Far Cry 2 is in the works. The new title will follow the storyline and gameplay of the original PC version that came out about four years back. The new iteration too will embellish PC platform when it comes out in Spring 2008.

Far Cry earned a huge disrepute in Germany for so-called high violence. Albeit, the game was M-rated by the ESRB, still, was named inappropriate for both, the gamers above 18 as well as adults. Despite rigid blame game, on the strength of its immersive environments, dedicated graphics, and gripping storyline, the game managed to sell over three million copies worldwide.
However, the original game was developed by Crytek (the team behind Crysis for PC), but the sequel will grow up under the caring hands of Ubisoft at Montreal studio. There is no information about the engine that the new sequel will bring in use, but, of course, we will get advanced IA, more photorealism, more interactive environments, and entirely a new FPS genre era that we have never experienced before.

The publisher has revealed no other detail yet. Keep your eyes peeled on us for further update.
