Mindfire Entertainment reveals that it is going to turn the popular Eidos Video Game "Fear Effect" into a feature film. For that, it has already had a first round of talk with director Stanley Tong. Steve Kriozere will be doing the screenplay. The movie has a budget of around $25m. The shooting begin later this year for a possible release of early 2008.

The real PlayStation game will follow the exploits of three mercenaries. In a parallel universal version of China Hana, Deke, and Glas will do the tricks. They are sent to recover the young runaway daughter of an influential businessperson. Their mission becomes a true complex battle when they try to survive the planet against the King of Hell.
The project has been described as the 'Mission: Impossible' meets 'Silent Hill,' Rather than an alternate world the movie will be set in 10 years in the future.
