From All-Star to Video games, this NHL All-Star Rick Nash of the Columbus Blue Jackets is now “posing” for the new NHL 2k9. Basically what he does is he moves and plays on a look-a-like ice surface where he has sensors placed on his body to record his movements which are then placed onto the characters.
I honestly wish I were him. To be able to get all that stuff put on me and to do something cool like that and then later see myself on a 2d figure and see my movements. In the picture above, he is taking a shot into the goal, which he’s a pro at.
Although I’m not much of a Sports gamer, I have played my fair share of Baseball and Football games. Then again, who hasn’t? This is just another testament that shows how far these games have come to give you all the control over the character. You are basically playing the real person at this point with their skills, and low/high points.
I am definitely thinking of buying this game when it comes out. I’m actually looking forward to playing a hockey game.
