Age of Conan enthusiasts would have to wait a bit longer than expected as Funcom has pushed back release date of its upcoming MMORPG from this Fall to March 25th, 2008. The reason for the delay mentioned by the developer is some more time and efforts taken to polish and enhance the game so that it reaches its full potential in terms of quality and subscriber base.
Funcom CEO Trond Arne Aas apologizing for the delay informed that the delay has been made only after a careful consideration and on the basis of recently received Beta feedback.
In the game, players will confront a dark, violent, and sinful virtual universe embellished with fantastic graphics and stunning surround sound audio. Barbarian is rogue who has finally seized the throne as the king of Aquilonia, and has heightened threats for human civilization. Soon after Barbarian captures the throne, twisted fantasy world has arrived at an alarming stage where dark magic and brutal combats creep around to victimize civilians in sin-prone empire.

Age of Conan is presently in Beta stage that kicked off last summer, and only after receiving an adequate feedback, the game has been thrown back into the hands of developers so as to make some appropriate changes.
Funcom’s new MMO planned for PC and Xbox360 was initially slated for an October 2007 launch, but as per latest reports, the game will now hit the retailer store shelves in early 2008.
Hope, new launch date won’t be deferred any further and will come with some much-needed changes to make it one of the best MMOs ever.
