PS3 owners are in for an unexpected treat. There’s a PS3 firmware update available – Firmware 2.42 – for download. Sony did not give anything on this one in advance and now says that Firmware 2.42 will improve playback quality of some PS3 and PlayStation format software. (How about a real reason though!) Some sites would have us believe that the trophies load up faster with this one. We’ll keep you updated as we download it and experience it first hand. Or do it yourself you lazybones.
