Buying AdScape will enable Google technology to serve ads to yet another fastest growing videogame market. The internet based titanic videogame industry is the hottest buzz and still possess a lot of potential to grow up.

In-game ad revenue is expected to kiss $200 million milestone, this year and more than $700 million by 2010. So, being considerate about this rising horizon, Google has bought AdScape.

Google's new venture will feel heat from Microsoft since it has acquired Massive, last year that too is one of the largest in-game ad providers (vise-versa is also possible).

San Francisco-based company Adscape however is a small corporation that delivers dynamic advertisements for videogames. The company made its debut last year in February with $3.2 million with a financial support from Atlanta's HIG Ventures.

No doubt, the new entity is an interesting development, particularly from an advertising point of view. It's obvious that Google will probably make it very economic and easy for advertisers to run ads in Games but will partially spoil gamers' flavor.
