Government Backs Its Stand: Violent Games Are Not Dangerous

The UK government sticking to its decision of allowing the sale of Manhunt 2 game in the country re-established its intent of not overturning the legal decision. The violence in games is now being sensibly dealt with by the government. There has been no convincing evidence testifying any connection between playing computer games and their violent implications in practical. The government has further gone on to recognize the double standards practiced until the ruling.

Furthermore, it asserted the decision being the mutual one of the BBFC and the Video Appeals Committee. Prime Minister Gordon Brown has demanded a study regarding the effect of the games on child psyche. For the past whole year or so, there has been so much of hue and cry in the Parliament as well as outside over the issue. But, the government came up with great patch-work to settle the matter. Problems related to video games should be treated likewise at some point to avoid any sort of conflict. So, the decisions should be imposed in an unbiased manner to restore the mislaid conviction.
