Get ready people August 1 is upon us! Gran Turismo 5 Prologue owners are in for a grand Friday with an even grander update (okay I’m sounding way too excited). On offer with this update is a host of downloadable content for Gran Turismo TV. Fans will get access to a bunch of free and pay-per-view programming; expected is UK’s car show Top Gear, and Japan’s video magazine Best Motoring. Every fan has something to cheer about with this update as far as TV content is concerned. And since Gran Turismo TV is located within the game, all the watching will be done from within the game. The free update, as a limited offer of two weeks, would allow users to download pay-per-view content on GTTV for $0.99. After that gamers must shell out $1.99 for each episode. Viewers would also have an option to download as many as eight episodes simultaneously. Other than TV offerings, this update has little to offer. There’s penalty judgment fixes, better collision fixes and more tires for Time Trial.
