Come April 15th, all you GTA gamers with a PS3 or an Xbox can track your game scores and achievements against other fellow gamers on the social club that Rockstar Games, the makers of the very successful GTA series will launch. Incidentally, this launch also coincides with the April launch of the latest installment of the GTA series, the Grand Theft Auto 4. All you need to sign up into this club is a gamertag if you are an Xbox gamer or a Network ID if you are a Playstation gamer. The site will also have an “LCPD Police Blotter”, a system that will show the millions of connected players live. So, the user can see which parts of the city is the most dangerous, and even the kind of weapons that other players are using. Now that GTA has started this trend, expect more such game developers-backed forums and maybe even a full-fledged social networking site exclusively for gamers.
