The first ever Guild Wars expansion, named Guild Wars: Eye of the North, has finally received a universal launch date. NCsoft confirms August 31, 2007 as the release date of the game.

The only expansion to the MMORPG Guild Wars franchise adds 18 multilevel dungeons to face countless enemies, 10 new heroes, 150 new skills, and 40 new armor-sets that one can use in the confrontation. Unlike its predecessors, Guild Wars: Eye of the North is an expansion that follows up events in the original Guild Wars campaign.
Guild Wars: Eye of the North key features:
Reveals what happened in Tyria after the end of Guild Wars: Prophecies
Introduces the Norn and Asura
Gameplay set in Ascalon dungeons and caverns
100% max-level content
The Hall of Monuments - Provides access to exclusive Guild Wars titles, companions, miniatures (mini-pets), armor, and weapons that are not obtainable in Guild Wars 2
150 new skills across all ten Guild Wars professions, of which 50 are special player-versus-player

You will be able to get your hands on the Guild Wars expansion-pack on August 31, 2007 for a suggestive price of $39.99 (£€34.99) across North America and Europe. The game will also be available on PlayNC.com online retailer and the Guild Wars in-game store.
