The Halcyon Co., owners of the Terminator license are creating a new subsidiary to make video games based on the series. The Hollywood reporter stated that the first game would be an adaptation of the forthcoming new film Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins. The company has opened a new development studio and it is already working on a new game based on the brand.
As the title suggests, the new movie will be based on the future and follow the war between mankind and Skynet. Though Terminator is not only franchise Halcyon Games on which company is working on. Additionally, for creating their own original IPs, has also acquired the rights to the works of science fiction writer Philip K. Dick with games based on his books planned for release in 2010.
Let’s wait for Halcyon to get right because the world will need another Terminator. The company is planning to release game as well as movie in 2009. The game is coming for next-generation consoles, PC and mobile phone.
