I remember in 1998, Half-Life ended on a fascinating note...when the series hero Gordon Freeman was recruited by the ever-mysterious G-Man as a brave heart commando. However, 2004’s Half Life 2 caught all the fans of the game quite off guard when Gordon and his friend Alyx Vance were trapped in a huge explosion. Valve, it seems, by gauging the market possibility, has taken the series ahead without wasting any more years to episodic territory.
Thus came Half-Life 2: Episode One which is the first of its kind in a new trilogy of episodes that were planned to be released by the following year. A gamer does not need to possess the second title to play the first one. This is different and stand alone, thankfully, maker has not made it mandatory.
Someone is asking, whether it is the beginning of the end or end of the beginning?
