Washington based Valve, the entertainment software and technology company is releasing Half Life 2 and Lost Coast in conjunction with AMD Athlon 64 FX processor based systems. These 64 bit versions of the Source games are offered to all Half Life 2 owners via stream.



Gabe Newell, Valve’s co-founder and president says in steampowered, ‘Bringing the Source technology to the AMD64 processor platform is an important step in the evolution of our game content and tools. This investment in future processing will allow us, and third party developers working with Source, to push the boundaries of the gaming experience.’



Earlier Half Line 2 which was sold more than 4 million copies has been chosen as the Game of the Year by almost 35 publications.
