Now the revenue report cards are out for the whole gaming industry that how it performed in its Nov. month that was completely engaged in the launch schedules of Sony and Nintendo as the two developers debuted its innovative next-gen consoles, PS3 and Wii respectively. A market analyzing organization called NPD Group Inc. has ousted the net sales results for the whole gaming industry depositing the growth of 34% in hardware sales while software sales showed a rise of 15% for the month of November.

The analysis shows that the main sales boosters in hardware are Microsoft’s Xbox360, Sony’s PS2 and of course Nintendo’s DS and Wii. Nintendo DS filed a total of 918,000 units’ transaction for the month of Nov. and topped the hardware sales while Sony’s PS2 got the title of second best selling game with the sale of 664,000 units, third place was also occupied by Nintendo’s creation GameBoy having 641,000 units pulled in one month.

Nintendo also did better than expected with complete I million sales around the world in just few days after its launch. PS3 could not electrify too much sales figures with just 197,000 units out of 2 million shipped after regressing the target of 4 million for US launch day on 17th Nov.

The software also showed a considerable hike with total business of $804 million as compared to the last year’s feeble $702 million. The group is holding responsible for such awesome figures Microsoft’s war-thematic title Gears of War with 1 million copes sold with bagging $61.5 million of huge sum. The immediate follower is Square Enix’s FF XII with 896,000 units’ sales fetching $49 million and on third place Nintendo’s Princess Zelda maintained itself with selling off 412,000 copies with $20.2 million revenue while Guitar Hero II procured fourth place with 356,000 unit transaction and $28 million of business volume.

One thing that looks quite ostensible as per sales analyses is the pricing matter feels a bit paralyzed in front of the good gaming content specially in case of software sales. However the clause applies equally to gaming consoles as well but motion sensitive wireless controllers is also a considerable aspect as well that can’t be ignored at any cost.
