The war for next-gen gaming consoles had not yet ended and a new rage has been started as Sony Studios Worldwide President Phil Harrison has announced that once again they will go head to head with Microsoft in the realm of HD movie and TV show downloads.

In an exclusive interview with 1up, having his say on their next-gen platform, PS3 he boasts that PS3 owners will see HD movie and TV show downloads sooner than later.
Microsoft has already initiated its HD download service about two months ago on Nov 22nd, across the world. A fresh new energetic initiative on the part of Sony will fire up the competition for videogame consoles as home media centers.
Sony has a well-built film and entertainment industry history, either would it be far enough to dominate Microsoft in online HD movie/TV downloads or will Microsoft's early adoption be always an advantage in online HD download service? Or is this a right time for Nintendo to hit the nail on the head i.e. become a potential manufacturer for those who just want to play videogames irrespective of graphics quality?
