Already seen a couple of delays for this week, the videogame industry would taste a mixed flavor of action-adventure, shooter and sports genre on various platforms. As discussed in previous post, even after a delayed launch, EA is inclined to roll out its much anticipated sports genre 'Skate' on the Xbox360 this week only. Heavenly Sword - an action/adventure game developed by Ninja Theory exclusively for the PS3 is another title based on freestyle combat system is making its debut this week. The game will see its launch over alleged platform on Sept 12th in US.

Emotionally driven gameplay with stunningly beautiful graphics and unprecedented character performance, Heavenly Sword showcases the penitential of the PS3. The game features Nariko - a red-haired damsel laden with a curvy sword in her hand who is dogged to take revenge from an invading King and his army. The story revolves around the ancient 'Heavenly Sword', which once belonged to a powerful deity.
Few key features of the game are:
Transformable tendency of the Heavenly Sword into three distinct weapons, each with its own accompanying fighting stance used by Nariko to vary combat styles
The combat engine can scale up from one-on-one encounters to one-on-many by means of bringing Artificial Intelligence (AI) in use
A wide range of objects & weaponry including rapid fire crossbows and devastating bazookas
Persuasive visuals and sound effects coupled with unending sword-fight going off in highly interactive environments
Following, US launch, Heavenly Sword will see its launch on Sept 14th and Sept 20th across Europe and Australia, respectively; however, Japanese launch date is yet to be announced.
